سُوْرَةُ الصَّافَّاتِ

1. As-Saaffaat 37:1

   وَٱلصَّٰٓفَّٰتِ صَفࣰّ ا ۝١

   1. By those [angels] lined up in rows

2. As-Saaffaat 37:2

   فَٱلزَّٰجِرَٰتِ زَجۡرࣰ ا ۝٢

   2. And those who drive [the clouds]

3. As-Saaffaat 37:3

   فَٱلتَّٰلِيَٰتِ ذِكۡرًا ۝٣

   3. And those who recite the message

4. As-Saaffaat 37:4

   إِنَّ إِلَٰهَكُمۡ لَوَٰحِدࣱ‏ ۝٤

   4. Indeed, your God is One

5. As-Saaffaat 37:5

   رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ ٱلۡمَشَٰرِقِ ۝٥

   5. Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises

6. As-Saaffaat 37:6

   إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا بِزِينَةٍ ٱلۡكَوَاكِبِ ۝٦

   6. Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars

7. As-Saaffaat 37:7

   وَحِفۡظࣰ ا مِّن كُلِّ شَيۡطَٰنࣲ مَّارِدࣲ‏ ۝٧

   7. And as protection against every rebellious devil

8. As-Saaffaat 37:8

   لَّا يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى ٱلۡمَلَإِ ٱلۡأَعۡلَىٰ وَيُقۡذَفُونَ مِن كُلِّ جَانِبࣲ‏ ۝٨

   8. [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side

9. As-Saaffaat 37:9

   دُحُورࣰ اۖ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابࣱ وَاصِبٌ ۝٩

   9. Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment

10. As-Saaffaat 37:10

    إِلَّا مَنۡ خَطِفَ ٱلۡخَطۡفَةَ فَأَتۡبَعَهُۥ شِهَابࣱ ثَاقِبࣱ‏ ۝١٠

    10. Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]

11. As-Saaffaat 37:11

    فَٱسۡتَفۡتِهِمۡ أَهُمۡ أَشَدُّ خَلۡقًا أَم مَّنۡ خَلَقۡنَآۚ إِنَّا خَلَقۡنَٰهُم مِّن طِينࣲ لَّازِبِۭ ۝١١

    11. Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay

12. As-Saaffaat 37:12

    بَلۡ عَجِبۡتَ وَيَسۡخَرُونَ ۝١٢

    12. But you wonder, while they mock

13. As-Saaffaat 37:13

    وَإِذَا ذُكِّرُواْ لَا يَذۡكُرُونَ ۝١٣

    13. And when they are reminded, they remember not

14. As-Saaffaat 37:14

    وَإِذَا رَأَوۡاْ ءَايَةࣰ يَسۡتَسۡخِرُونَ ۝١٤

    14. And when they see a sign, they ridicule

15. As-Saaffaat 37:15

    وَقَالُوٓاْ إِنۡ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحۡرࣱ مُّبِينٌ ۝١٥

    15. And say, "This is not but obvious magic

16. As-Saaffaat 37:16

    أَءِذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابࣰ ا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبۡعُوثُونَ ۝١٦

    16. When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected

17. As-Saaffaat 37:17

    أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا ٱلۡأَوَّلُونَ ۝١٧

    17. And our forefathers [as well]

18. As-Saaffaat 37:18

    قُلۡ نَعَمۡ وَأَنتُمۡ دَٰخِرُونَ ۝١٨

    18. Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible

19. As-Saaffaat 37:19

    فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجۡرَةࣱ وَٰحِدَةࣱ فَإِذَا هُمۡ يَنظُرُونَ ۝١٩

    19. It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing

20. As-Saaffaat 37:20

    وَقَالُواْ يَٰوَيۡلَنَا هَٰذَا يَوۡمُ ٱلدِّينِ ۝٢٠

    20. They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense

21. As-Saaffaat 37:21

    هَٰذَا يَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ ٱلَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ ۝٢١

    21. [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny

22. As-Saaffaat 37:22

    ۞ٱحۡشُرُواْ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ وَأَزۡوَٰجَهُمۡ وَمَا كَانُواْ يَعۡبُدُونَ ۝٢٢

    22. [The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship

23. As-Saaffaat 37:23

    مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَٱهۡدُوهُمۡ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطِ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ ۝٢٣

    23. Other than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire

24. As-Saaffaat 37:24

    وَقِفُوهُمۡۖ إِنَّهُم مَّسۡـُٔولُونَ ۝٢٤

    24. And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned

25. As-Saaffaat 37:25

    مَا لَكُمۡ لَا تَنَاصَرُونَ ۝٢٥

    25. [They will be asked], "What is [wrong] with you? Why do you not help each other

26. As-Saaffaat 37:26

    بَلۡ هُمُ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ مُسۡتَسۡلِمُونَ ۝٢٦

    26. But they, that Day, are in surrender

27. As-Saaffaat 37:27

    وَأَقۡبَلَ بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضࣲ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ ۝٢٧

    27. And they will approach one another blaming each other

28. As-Saaffaat 37:28

    قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّكُمۡ كُنتُمۡ تَأۡتُونَنَا عَنِ ٱلۡيَمِينِ ۝٢٨

    28. They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right

29. As-Saaffaat 37:29

    قَالُواْ بَل لَّمۡ تَكُونُواْ مُؤۡمِنِينَ ۝٢٩

    29. The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers

30. As-Saaffaat 37:30

    وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيۡكُم مِّن سُلۡطَٰنِۭۖ بَلۡ كُنتُمۡ قَوۡمࣰ ا طَٰغِينَ ۝٣٠

    30. And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people

31. As-Saaffaat 37:31

    فَحَقَّ عَلَيۡنَا قَوۡلُ رَبِّنَآۖ إِنَّا لَذَآئِقُونَ ۝٣١

    31. So the word of our Lord has come into effect upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment]

32. As-Saaffaat 37:32

    فَأَغۡوَيۡنَٰكُمۡ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَٰوِينَ ۝٣٢

    32. And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators

33. As-Saaffaat 37:33

    فَإِنَّهُمۡ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ فِي ٱلۡعَذَابِ مُشۡتَرِكُونَ ۝٣٣

    33. So indeed they, that Day, will be sharing in the punishment

34. As-Saaffaat 37:34

    إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَفۡعَلُ بِٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ ۝٣٤

    34. Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals

35. As-Saaffaat 37:35

    إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوٓاْ إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمۡ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ يَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ ۝٣٥

    35. Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant

36. As-Saaffaat 37:36

    وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُوٓاْ ءَالِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرࣲ مَّجۡنُونِۭ ۝٣٦

    36. And were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet

37. As-Saaffaat 37:37

    بَلۡ جَآءَ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ ۝٣٧

    37. Rather, the Prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers

38. As-Saaffaat 37:38

    إِنَّكُمۡ لَذَآئِقُواْ ٱلۡعَذَابِ ٱلۡأَلِيمِ ۝٣٨

    38. Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment

39. As-Saaffaat 37:39

    وَمَا تُجۡزَوۡنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٣٩

    39. And you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do

40. As-Saaffaat 37:40

    إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ ۝٤٠

    40. But not the chosen servants of Allah

41. As-Saaffaat 37:41

    أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمۡ رِزۡقࣱ مَّعۡلُومࣱ‏ ۝٤١

    41. Those will have a provision determined

42. As-Saaffaat 37:42

    فَوَٰكِهُ وَهُم مُّكۡرَمُونَ ۝٤٢

    42. Fruits; and they will be honored

43. As-Saaffaat 37:43

    فِي جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ۝٤٣

    43. In gardens of pleasure

44. As-Saaffaat 37:44

    عَلَىٰ سُرُرࣲ مُّتَقَٰبِلِينَ ۝٤٤

    44. On thrones facing one another

45. As-Saaffaat 37:45

    يُطَافُ عَلَيۡهِم بِكَأۡسࣲ مِّن مَّعِينِۭ ۝٤٥

    45. There will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring

46. As-Saaffaat 37:46

    بَيۡضَآءَ لَذَّةࣲ لِّلشَّٰرِبِينَ ۝٤٦

    46. White and delicious to the drinkers

    37:46 Tafsir Copy Share

47. As-Saaffaat 37:47

    لَا فِيهَا غَوۡلࣱ وَلَا هُمۡ عَنۡهَا يُنزَفُونَ ۝٤٧

    47. No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated

48. As-Saaffaat 37:48

    وَعِندَهُمۡ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرۡفِ عِينࣱ‏ ۝٤٨

    48. And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes

49. As-Saaffaat 37:49

    كَأَنَّهُنَّ بَيۡضࣱ مَّكۡنُونࣱ‏ ۝٤٩

    49. As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected

50. As-Saaffaat 37:50

    فَأَقۡبَلَ بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضࣲ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ ۝٥٠

    50. And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other

51. As-Saaffaat 37:51

    قَالَ قَآئِلࣱ مِّنۡهُمۡ إِنِّي كَانَ لِي قَرِينࣱ‏ ۝٥١

    51. A speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth]

52. As-Saaffaat 37:52

    يَقُولُ أَءِنَّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلۡمُصَدِّقِينَ ۝٥٢

    52. Who would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believe

53. As-Saaffaat 37:53

    أَءِذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابࣰ ا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَدِينُونَ ۝٥٣

    53. That when we have died and become dust and bones, we will indeed be recompensed

54. As-Saaffaat 37:54

    قَالَ هَلۡ أَنتُم مُّطَّلِعُونَ ۝٥٤

    54. He will say, "Would you [care to] look

    37:54 Tafsir Copy Share

55. As-Saaffaat 37:55

    فَٱطَّلَعَ فَرَءَاهُ فِي سَوَآءِ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ ۝٥٥

    55. And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire

56. As-Saaffaat 37:56

    قَالَ تَٱللَّهِ إِن كِدتَّ لَتُرۡدِينِ ۝٥٦

    56. He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me

57. As-Saaffaat 37:57

    وَلَوۡلَا نِعۡمَةُ رَبِّي لَكُنتُ مِنَ ٱلۡمُحۡضَرِينَ ۝٥٧

    57. If not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been of those brought in [to Hell]

58. As-Saaffaat 37:58

    أَفَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمَيِّتِينَ ۝٥٨

    58. Then, are we not to die

    37:58 Tafsir Copy Share

59. As-Saaffaat 37:59

    إِلَّا مَوۡتَتَنَا ٱلۡأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ ۝٥٩

    59. Except for our first death, and we will not be punished

60. As-Saaffaat 37:60

    إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡعَظِيمُ ۝٦٠

    60. Indeed, this is the great attainment

61. As-Saaffaat 37:61

    لِمِثۡلِ هَٰذَا فَلۡيَعۡمَلِ ٱلۡعَٰمِلُونَ ۝٦١

    61. For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work

62. As-Saaffaat 37:62

    أَذَٰلِكَ خَيۡرࣱ نُّزُلًا أَمۡ شَجَرَةُ ٱلزَّقُّومِ ۝٦٢

    62. Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum

63. As-Saaffaat 37:63

    إِنَّا جَعَلۡنَٰهَا فِتۡنَةࣰ لِّلظَّٰلِمِينَ ۝٦٣

    63. Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers

64. As-Saaffaat 37:64

    إِنَّهَا شَجَرَةࣱ تَخۡرُجُ فِيٓ أَصۡلِ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ ۝٦٤

    64. Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire

65. As-Saaffaat 37:65

    طَلۡعُهَا كَأَنَّهُۥ رُءُوسُ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينِ ۝٦٥

    65. Its emerging fruit as if it was heads of the devils

66. As-Saaffaat 37:66

    فَإِنَّهُمۡ لَأٓكِلُونَ مِنۡهَا فَمَالِـُٔونَ مِنۡهَا ٱلۡبُطُونَ ۝٦٦

    66. And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies

67. As-Saaffaat 37:67

    ثُمَّ إِنَّ لَهُمۡ عَلَيۡهَا لَشَوۡبࣰ ا مِّنۡ حَمِيمࣲ‏ ۝٦٧

    67. Then indeed, they will have after it a mixture of scalding water

68. As-Saaffaat 37:68

    ثُمَّ إِنَّ مَرۡجِعَهُمۡ لَإِلَى ٱلۡجَحِيمِ ۝٦٨

    68. Then indeed, their return will be to the Hellfire

69. As-Saaffaat 37:69

    إِنَّهُمۡ أَلۡفَوۡاْ ءَابَآءَهُمۡ ضَآلِّينَ ۝٦٩

    69. Indeed they found their fathers astray

70. As-Saaffaat 37:70

    فَهُمۡ عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِمۡ يُهۡرَعُونَ ۝٧٠

    70. So they hastened [to follow] in their footsteps

71. As-Saaffaat 37:71

    وَلَقَدۡ ضَلَّ قَبۡلَهُمۡ أَكۡثَرُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ ۝٧١

    71. And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples

72. As-Saaffaat 37:72

    وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا فِيهِم مُّنذِرِينَ ۝٧٢

    72. And We had already sent among them warners

    37:72 Tafsir Copy Share

73. As-Saaffaat 37:73

    فَٱنظُرۡ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلۡمُنذَرِينَ ۝٧٣

    73. Then look how was the end of those who were warned

74. As-Saaffaat 37:74

    إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ ۝٧٤

    74. But not the chosen servants of Allah

75. As-Saaffaat 37:75

    وَلَقَدۡ نَادَىٰنَا نُوحࣱ فَلَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡمُجِيبُونَ ۝٧٥

    75. And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders

76. As-Saaffaat 37:76

    وَنَجَّيۡنَٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلۡكَرۡبِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ ۝٧٦

    76. And We saved him and his family from the great affliction

77. As-Saaffaat 37:77

    وَجَعَلۡنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُۥ هُمُ ٱلۡبَاقِينَ ۝٧٧

    77. And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth]

78. As-Saaffaat 37:78

    وَتَرَكۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ ۝٧٨

    78. And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations

79. As-Saaffaat 37:79

    سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ نُوحࣲ فِي ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ۝٧٩

    79. Peace upon Noah among the worlds

80. As-Saaffaat 37:80

    إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ ۝٨٠

    80. Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good

    37:80 Tafsir Copy Share

81. As-Saaffaat 37:81

    إِنَّهُۥ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ ۝٨١

    81. Indeed, he was of Our believing servants

82. As-Saaffaat 37:82

    ثُمَّ أَغۡرَقۡنَا ٱلۡأٓخَرِينَ ۝٨٢

    82. Then We drowned the disbelievers

    37:82 Tafsir Copy Share

83. As-Saaffaat 37:83

    ۞وَإِنَّ مِن شِيعَتِهِۦ لَإِبۡرَٰهِيمَ ۝٨٣

    83. And indeed, among his kind was Abraham

84. As-Saaffaat 37:84

    إِذۡ جَآءَ رَبَّهُۥ بِقَلۡبࣲ سَلِيمٍ ۝٨٤

    84. When he came to his Lord with a sound heart

    37:84 Tafsir Copy Share

85. As-Saaffaat 37:85

    إِذۡ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوۡمِهِۦ مَاذَا تَعۡبُدُونَ ۝٨٥

    85. [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship

86. As-Saaffaat 37:86

    أَئِفۡكًا ءَالِهَةࣰ دُونَ ٱللَّهِ تُرِيدُونَ ۝٨٦

    86. Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire

87. As-Saaffaat 37:87

    فَمَا ظَنُّكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ۝٨٧

    87. Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds

88. As-Saaffaat 37:88

    فَنَظَرَ نَظۡرَةࣰ فِي ٱلنُّجُومِ ۝٨٨

    88. And he cast a look at the stars

    37:88 Tafsir Copy Share

89. As-Saaffaat 37:89

    فَقَالَ إِنِّي سَقِيمࣱ‏ ۝٨٩

    89. And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill

90. As-Saaffaat 37:90

    فَتَوَلَّوۡاْ عَنۡهُ مُدۡبِرِينَ ۝٩٠

    90. So they turned away from him, departing

91. As-Saaffaat 37:91

    فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ ءَالِهَتِهِمۡ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَأۡكُلُونَ ۝٩١

    91. Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat

92. As-Saaffaat 37:92

    مَا لَكُمۡ لَا تَنطِقُونَ ۝٩٢

    92. What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak

93. As-Saaffaat 37:93

    فَرَاغَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ضَرۡبَۢا بِٱلۡيَمِينِ ۝٩٣

    93. And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand

94. As-Saaffaat 37:94

    فَأَقۡبَلُوٓاْ إِلَيۡهِ يَزِفُّونَ ۝٩٤

    94. Then the people came toward him, hastening

95. As-Saaffaat 37:95

    قَالَ أَتَعۡبُدُونَ مَا تَنۡحِتُونَ ۝٩٥

    95. He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve

96. As-Saaffaat 37:96

    وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمۡ وَمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٩٦

    96. While Allah created you and that which you do

    37:96 Tafsir Copy Share

97. As-Saaffaat 37:97

    قَالُواْ ٱبۡنُواْ لَهُۥ بُنۡيَٰنࣰ ا فَأَلۡقُوهُ فِي ٱلۡجَحِيمِ ۝٩٧

    97. They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire

98. As-Saaffaat 37:98

    فَأَرَادُواْ بِهِۦ كَيۡدࣰ ا فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُمُ ٱلۡأَسۡفَلِينَ ۝٩٨

    98. And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased

99. As-Saaffaat 37:99

    وَقَالَ إِنِّي ذَاهِبٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّي سَيَهۡدِينِ ۝٩٩

    99. And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me

100. As-Saaffaat 37:100

     رَبِّ هَبۡ لِي مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ ۝١٠٠

     100. My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous

101. As-Saaffaat 37:101

     فَبَشَّرۡنَٰهُ بِغُلَٰمٍ حَلِيمࣲ‏ ۝١٠١

     101. So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy

102. As-Saaffaat 37:102

     فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ ٱلسَّعۡيَ قَالَ يَٰبُنَيَّ إِنِّيٓ أَرَىٰ فِي ٱلۡمَنَامِ أَنِّيٓ أَذۡبَحُكَ فَٱنظُرۡ مَاذَا تَرَىٰۚ قَالَ يَٰٓأَبَتِ ٱفۡعَلۡ مَا تُؤۡمَرُۖ سَتَجِدُنِيٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ ۝١٠٢

     102. And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast

103. As-Saaffaat 37:103

     فَلَمَّآ أَسۡلَمَا وَتَلَّهُۥ لِلۡجَبِينِ ۝١٠٣

     103. And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead

104. As-Saaffaat 37:104

     وَنَٰدَيۡنَٰهُ أَن يَٰٓإِبۡرَٰهِيمُ ۝١٠٤

     104. We called to him, "O Abraham

105. As-Saaffaat 37:105

     قَدۡ صَدَّقۡتَ ٱلرُّءۡيَآۚ إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ ۝١٠٥

     105. You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good

106. As-Saaffaat 37:106

     إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلۡبَلَٰٓؤُاْ ٱلۡمُبِينُ ۝١٠٦

     106. Indeed, this was the clear trial

107. As-Saaffaat 37:107

     وَفَدَيۡنَٰهُ بِذِبۡحٍ عَظِيمࣲ‏ ۝١٠٧

     107. And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice

     37:107 Tafsir Copy Share

108. As-Saaffaat 37:108

     وَتَرَكۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ ۝١٠٨

     108. And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations

109. As-Saaffaat 37:109

     سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ ۝١٠٩

     109. Peace upon Abraham

     37:109 Tafsir Copy Share

110. As-Saaffaat 37:110

     كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ ۝١١٠

     110. Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good

111. As-Saaffaat 37:111

     إِنَّهُۥ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ ۝١١١

     111. Indeed, he was of Our believing servants

     37:111 Tafsir Copy Share

112. As-Saaffaat 37:112

     وَبَشَّرۡنَٰهُ بِإِسۡحَٰقَ نَبِيࣰّ ا مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ ۝١١٢

     112. And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous

113. As-Saaffaat 37:113

     وَبَٰرَكۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ وَعَلَىٰٓ إِسۡحَٰقَۚ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحۡسِنࣱ وَظَالِمࣱ لِّنَفۡسِهِۦ مُبِينࣱ‏ ۝١١٣

     113. And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself

114. As-Saaffaat 37:114

     وَلَقَدۡ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ ۝١١٤

     114. And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron

115. As-Saaffaat 37:115

     وَنَجَّيۡنَٰهُمَا وَقَوۡمَهُمَا مِنَ ٱلۡكَرۡبِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ ۝١١٥

     115. And We saved them and their people from the great affliction

116. As-Saaffaat 37:116

     وَنَصَرۡنَٰهُمۡ فَكَانُواْ هُمُ ٱلۡغَٰلِبِينَ ۝١١٦

     116. And We supported them so it was they who overcame

117. As-Saaffaat 37:117

     وَءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمَا ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَبِينَ ۝١١٧

     117. And We gave them the explicit Scripture

118. As-Saaffaat 37:118

     وَهَدَيۡنَٰهُمَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِيمَ ۝١١٨

     118. And We guided them on the straight path

119. As-Saaffaat 37:119

     وَتَرَكۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمَا فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ ۝١١٩

     119. And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations

120. As-Saaffaat 37:120

     سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ ۝١٢٠

     120. Peace upon Moses and Aaron

     37:120 Tafsir Copy Share

121. As-Saaffaat 37:121

     إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ ۝١٢١

     121. Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good

122. As-Saaffaat 37:122

     إِنَّهُمَا مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ ۝١٢٢

     122. Indeed, they were of Our believing servants

     37:122 Tafsir Copy Share

123. As-Saaffaat 37:123

     وَإِنَّ إِلۡيَاسَ لَمِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ ۝١٢٣

     123. And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers

     37:123 Tafsir Copy Share

124. As-Saaffaat 37:124

     إِذۡ قَالَ لِقَوۡمِهِۦٓ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ۝١٢٤

     124. When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah

125. As-Saaffaat 37:125

     أَتَدۡعُونَ بَعۡلࣰ ا وَتَذَرُونَ أَحۡسَنَ ٱلۡخَٰلِقِينَ ۝١٢٥

     125. Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators

126. As-Saaffaat 37:126

     ٱللَّهَ رَبَّكُمۡ وَرَبَّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ ۝١٢٦

     126. Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers

127. As-Saaffaat 37:127

     فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمۡ لَمُحۡضَرُونَ ۝١٢٧

     127. And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment]

128. As-Saaffaat 37:128

     إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ ۝١٢٨

     128. Except the chosen servants of Allah

     37:128 Tafsir Copy Share

129. As-Saaffaat 37:129

     وَتَرَكۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ ۝١٢٩

     129. And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations

     37:129 Tafsir Copy Share

130. As-Saaffaat 37:130

     سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِلۡ يَاسِينَ ۝١٣٠

     130. Peace upon Elias

     37:130 Tafsir Copy Share

131. As-Saaffaat 37:131

     إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ ۝١٣١

     131. Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good

     37:131 Tafsir Copy Share

132. As-Saaffaat 37:132

     إِنَّهُۥ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ ۝١٣٢

     132. Indeed, he was of Our believing servants

     37:132 Tafsir Copy Share

133. As-Saaffaat 37:133

     وَإِنَّ لُوطࣰ ا لَّمِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ ۝١٣٣

     133. And indeed, Lot was among the messengers

     37:133 Tafsir Copy Share

134. As-Saaffaat 37:134

     إِذۡ نَجَّيۡنَٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥٓ أَجۡمَعِينَ ۝١٣٤

     134. [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all

     37:134 Tafsir Copy Share

135. As-Saaffaat 37:135

     إِلَّا عَجُوزࣰ ا فِي ٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَ ۝١٣٥

     135. Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]

     37:135 Tafsir Copy Share

136. As-Saaffaat 37:136

     ثُمَّ دَمَّرۡنَا ٱلۡأٓخَرِينَ ۝١٣٦

     136. Then We destroyed the others

     37:136 Tafsir Copy Share

137. As-Saaffaat 37:137

     وَإِنَّكُمۡ لَتَمُرُّونَ عَلَيۡهِم مُّصۡبِحِينَ ۝١٣٧

     137. And indeed, you pass by them in the morning

     37:137 Tafsir Copy Share

138. As-Saaffaat 37:138

     وَبِٱلَّيۡلِۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ ۝١٣٨

     138. And at night. Then will you not use reason

     37:138 Tafsir Copy Share

139. As-Saaffaat 37:139

     وَإِنَّ يُونُسَ لَمِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ ۝١٣٩

     139. And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers

     37:139 Tafsir Copy Share

140. As-Saaffaat 37:140

     إِذۡ أَبَقَ إِلَى ٱلۡفُلۡكِ ٱلۡمَشۡحُونِ ۝١٤٠

     140. [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship

     37:140 Tafsir Copy Share

141. As-Saaffaat 37:141

     فَسَاهَمَ فَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُدۡحَضِينَ ۝١٤١

     141. And he drew lots and was among the losers

     37:141 Tafsir Copy Share

142. As-Saaffaat 37:142

     فَٱلۡتَقَمَهُ ٱلۡحُوتُ وَهُوَ مُلِيمࣱ‏ ۝١٤٢

     142. Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy

     37:142 Tafsir Copy Share

143. As-Saaffaat 37:143

     فَلَوۡلَآ أَنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسَبِّحِينَ ۝١٤٣

     143. And had he not been of those who exalt Allah

     37:143 Tafsir Copy Share

144. As-Saaffaat 37:144

     لَلَبِثَ فِي بَطۡنِهِۦٓ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ يُبۡعَثُونَ ۝١٤٤

     144. He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected

     37:144 Tafsir Copy Share

145. As-Saaffaat 37:145

     ۞فَنَبَذۡنَٰهُ بِٱلۡعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ سَقِيمࣱ‏ ۝١٤٥

     145. But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill

     37:145 Tafsir Copy Share

146. As-Saaffaat 37:146

     وَأَنۢبَتۡنَا عَلَيۡهِ شَجَرَةࣰ مِّن يَقۡطِينࣲ‏ ۝١٤٦

     146. And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine

     37:146 Tafsir Copy Share

147. As-Saaffaat 37:147

     وَأَرۡسَلۡنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ مِاْئَةِ أَلۡفٍ أَوۡ يَزِيدُونَ ۝١٤٧

     147. And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more

148. As-Saaffaat 37:148

     فَـَٔامَنُواْ فَمَتَّعۡنَٰهُمۡ إِلَىٰ حِينࣲ‏ ۝١٤٨

     148. And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time

     37:148 Tafsir Copy Share

149. As-Saaffaat 37:149

     فَٱسۡتَفۡتِهِمۡ أَلِرَبِّكَ ٱلۡبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ ٱلۡبَنُونَ ۝١٤٩

     149. So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons

150. As-Saaffaat 37:150

     أَمۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ إِنَٰثࣰ ا وَهُمۡ شَٰهِدُونَ ۝١٥٠

     150. Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses

151. As-Saaffaat 37:151

     أَلَآ إِنَّهُم مِّنۡ إِفۡكِهِمۡ لَيَقُولُونَ ۝١٥١

     151. Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say

     37:151 Tafsir Copy Share

152. As-Saaffaat 37:152

     وَلَدَ ٱللَّهُ وَإِنَّهُمۡ لَكَٰذِبُونَ ۝١٥٢

     152. Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars

     37:152 Tafsir Copy Share

153. As-Saaffaat 37:153

     أَصۡطَفَى ٱلۡبَنَاتِ عَلَى ٱلۡبَنِينَ ۝١٥٣

     153. Has He chosen daughters over sons

     37:153 Tafsir Copy Share

154. As-Saaffaat 37:154

     مَا لَكُمۡ كَيۡفَ تَحۡكُمُونَ ۝١٥٤

     154. What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement

     37:154 Tafsir Copy Share

155. As-Saaffaat 37:155

     أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ ۝١٥٥

     155. Then will you not be reminded

     37:155 Tafsir Copy Share

156. As-Saaffaat 37:156

     أَمۡ لَكُمۡ سُلۡطَٰنࣱ مُّبِينࣱ‏ ۝١٥٦

     156. Or do you have a clear authority

     37:156 Tafsir Copy Share

157. As-Saaffaat 37:157

     فَأۡتُواْ بِكِتَٰبِكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ ۝١٥٧

     157. Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful

     37:157 Tafsir Copy Share

158. As-Saaffaat 37:158

     وَجَعَلُواْ بَيۡنَهُۥ وَبَيۡنَ ٱلۡجِنَّةِ نَسَبࣰ اۚ وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمَتِ ٱلۡجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُمۡ لَمُحۡضَرُونَ ۝١٥٨

     158. And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]

     37:158 Tafsir Copy Share

159. As-Saaffaat 37:159

     سُبۡحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ ۝١٥٩

     159. Exalted is Allah above what they describe

     37:159 Tafsir Copy Share

160. As-Saaffaat 37:160

     إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ ۝١٦٠

     160. Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]

     37:160 Tafsir Copy Share

161. As-Saaffaat 37:161

     فَإِنَّكُمۡ وَمَا تَعۡبُدُونَ ۝١٦١

     161. So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship

     37:161 Tafsir Copy Share

162. As-Saaffaat 37:162

     مَآ أَنتُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ بِفَٰتِنِينَ ۝١٦٢

     162. You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him

     37:162 Tafsir Copy Share

163. As-Saaffaat 37:163

     إِلَّا مَنۡ هُوَ صَالِ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ ۝١٦٣

     163. Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire

     37:163 Tafsir Copy Share

164. As-Saaffaat 37:164

     وَمَا مِنَّآ إِلَّا لَهُۥ مَقَامࣱ مَّعۡلُومࣱ‏ ۝١٦٤

     164. [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position

     37:164 Tafsir Copy Share

165. As-Saaffaat 37:165

     وَإِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ ٱلصَّآفُّونَ ۝١٦٥

     165. And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]

     37:165 Tafsir Copy Share

166. As-Saaffaat 37:166

     وَإِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ ٱلۡمُسَبِّحُونَ ۝١٦٦

     166. And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah

     37:166 Tafsir Copy Share

167. As-Saaffaat 37:167

     وَإِن كَانُواْ لَيَقُولُونَ ۝١٦٧

     167. And indeed, the disbelievers used to say

     37:167 Tafsir Copy Share

168. As-Saaffaat 37:168

     لَوۡ أَنَّ عِندَنَا ذِكۡرࣰ ا مِّنَ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ ۝١٦٨

     168. If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples

     37:168 Tafsir Copy Share

169. As-Saaffaat 37:169

     لَكُنَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ ۝١٦٩

     169. We would have been the chosen servants of Allah

     37:169 Tafsir Copy Share

170. As-Saaffaat 37:170

     فَكَفَرُواْ بِهِۦۖ فَسَوۡفَ يَعۡلَمُونَ ۝١٧٠

     170. But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know

     37:170 Tafsir Copy Share

171. As-Saaffaat 37:171

     وَلَقَدۡ سَبَقَتۡ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ ۝١٧١

     171. And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers

172. As-Saaffaat 37:172

     إِنَّهُمۡ لَهُمُ ٱلۡمَنصُورُونَ ۝١٧٢

     172. [That] indeed, they would be those given victory

     37:172 Tafsir Copy Share

173. As-Saaffaat 37:173

     وَإِنَّ جُندَنَا لَهُمُ ٱلۡغَٰلِبُونَ ۝١٧٣

     173. And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome

     37:173 Tafsir Copy Share

174. As-Saaffaat 37:174

     فَتَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ حِينࣲ‏ ۝١٧٤

     174. So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time

     37:174 Tafsir Copy Share

175. As-Saaffaat 37:175

     وَأَبۡصِرۡهُمۡ فَسَوۡفَ يُبۡصِرُونَ ۝١٧٥

     175. And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see

     37:175 Tafsir Copy Share

176. As-Saaffaat 37:176

     أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ ۝١٧٦

     176. Then for Our punishment are they impatient

     37:176 Tafsir Copy Share

177. As-Saaffaat 37:177

     فَإِذَا نَزَلَ بِسَاحَتِهِمۡ فَسَآءَ صَبَاحُ ٱلۡمُنذَرِينَ ۝١٧٧

     177. But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned

178. As-Saaffaat 37:178

     وَتَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ حِينࣲ‏ ۝١٧٨

     178. And leave them for a time

     37:178 Tafsir Copy Share

179. As-Saaffaat 37:179

     وَأَبۡصِرۡ فَسَوۡفَ يُبۡصِرُونَ ۝١٧٩

     179. And see, for they are going to see

     37:179 Tafsir Copy Share

180. As-Saaffaat 37:180

     سُبۡحَٰنَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ ٱلۡعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ ۝١٨٠

     180. Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe

181. As-Saaffaat 37:181

     وَسَلَٰمٌ عَلَى ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ ۝١٨١

     181. And peace upon the messengers

     37:181 Tafsir Copy Share

182. As-Saaffaat 37:182

     وَٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ۝١٨٢

     182. And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds

     37:182 Tafsir Copy Share

Translation: Saheeh International
