سُوْرَةُ الطُّوْرِ

1. At-Tur 52:1

   وَٱلطُّورِ ۝١

   1. By the mount

2. At-Tur 52:2

   وَكِتَٰبࣲ مَّسۡطُورࣲ‏ ۝٢

   2. And [by] a Book inscribed

3. At-Tur 52:3

   فِي رَقࣲّ مَّنشُورࣲ‏ ۝٣

   3. In parchment spread open

4. At-Tur 52:4

   وَٱلۡبَيۡتِ ٱلۡمَعۡمُورِ ۝٤

   4. And [by] the frequented House

   52:4 Tafsir Copy Share

5. At-Tur 52:5

   وَٱلسَّقۡفِ ٱلۡمَرۡفُوعِ ۝٥

   5. And [by] the heaven raised high

   52:5 Tafsir Copy Share

6. At-Tur 52:6

   وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ ٱلۡمَسۡجُورِ ۝٦

   6. And [by] the sea filled [with fire]

7. At-Tur 52:7

   إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَٰقِعࣱ‏ ۝٧

   7. Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will occur

8. At-Tur 52:8

   مَّا لَهُۥ مِن دَافِعࣲ‏ ۝٨

   8. Of it there is no preventer

9. At-Tur 52:9

   يَوۡمَ تَمُورُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ مَوۡرࣰ ا ۝٩

   9. On the Day the heaven will sway with circular motion

10. At-Tur 52:10

    وَتَسِيرُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ سَيۡرࣰ ا ۝١٠

    10. And the mountains will pass on, departing

11. At-Tur 52:11

    فَوَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ ۝١١

    11. Then woe, that Day, to the deniers

12. At-Tur 52:12

    ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ فِي خَوۡضࣲ يَلۡعَبُونَ ۝١٢

    12. Who are in [empty] discourse amusing themselves

13. At-Tur 52:13

    يَوۡمَ يُدَعُّونَ إِلَىٰ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا ۝١٣

    13. The Day they are thrust toward the fire of Hell with a [violent] thrust, [its angels will say]

14. At-Tur 52:14

    هَٰذِهِ ٱلنَّارُ ٱلَّتِي كُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ ۝١٤

    14. This is the Fire which you used to deny

15. At-Tur 52:15

    أَفَسِحۡرٌ هَٰذَآ أَمۡ أَنتُمۡ لَا تُبۡصِرُونَ ۝١٥

    15. Then is this magic, or do you not see

16. At-Tur 52:16

    ٱصۡلَوۡهَا فَٱصۡبِرُوٓاْ أَوۡ لَا تَصۡبِرُواْ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيۡكُمۡۖ إِنَّمَا تُجۡزَوۡنَ مَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ ۝١٦

    16. [Enter to] burn therein; then be patient or impatient - it is all the same for you. You are only being recompensed [for] what you used to do

17. At-Tur 52:17

    إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّٰتࣲ وَنَعِيمࣲ‏ ۝١٧

    17. Indeed, the righteous will be in gardens and pleasure

18. At-Tur 52:18

    فَٰكِهِينَ بِمَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ وَوَقَىٰهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡ عَذَابَ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ ۝١٨

    18. Enjoying what their Lord has given them, and their Lord protected them from the punishment of Hellfire

19. At-Tur 52:19

    كُلُواْ وَٱشۡرَبُواْ هَنِيٓـَٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ ۝١٩

    19. [They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you used to do

20. At-Tur 52:20

    مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ سُرُرࣲ مَّصۡفُوفَةࣲۖ وَزَوَّجۡنَٰهُم بِحُورٍ عِينࣲ‏ ۝٢٠

    20. They will be reclining on thrones lined up, and We will marry them to fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes

21. At-Tur 52:21

    وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَٱتَّبَعَتۡهُمۡ ذُرِّيَّتُهُم بِإِيمَٰنٍ أَلۡحَقۡنَا بِهِمۡ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمۡ وَمَآ أَلَتۡنَٰهُم مِّنۡ عَمَلِهِم مِّن شَيۡءࣲۚ كُلُّ ٱمۡرِيِٕۭ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِينࣱ‏ ۝٢١

    21. And those who believed and whose descendants followed them in faith - We will join with them their descendants, and We will not deprive them of anything of their deeds. Every person, for what he earned, is retained

22. At-Tur 52:22

    وَأَمۡدَدۡنَٰهُم بِفَٰكِهَةࣲ وَلَحۡمࣲ مِّمَّا يَشۡتَهُونَ ۝٢٢

    22. And We will provide them with fruit and meat from whatever they desire

23. At-Tur 52:23

    يَتَنَٰزَعُونَ فِيهَا كَأۡسࣰ ا لَّا لَغۡوࣱ فِيهَا وَلَا تَأۡثِيمࣱ‏ ۝٢٣

    23. They will exchange with one another a cup [of wine] wherein [results] no ill speech or commission of sin

24. At-Tur 52:24

    ۞وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ غِلۡمَانࣱ لَّهُمۡ كَأَنَّهُمۡ لُؤۡلُؤࣱ مَّكۡنُونࣱ‏ ۝٢٤

    24. There will circulate among them [servant] boys [especially] for them, as if they were pearls well-protected

25. At-Tur 52:25

    وَأَقۡبَلَ بَعۡضُهُمۡ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضࣲ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ ۝٢٥

    25. And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other

    52:25 Tafsir Copy Share

26. At-Tur 52:26

    قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا كُنَّا قَبۡلُ فِيٓ أَهۡلِنَا مُشۡفِقِينَ ۝٢٦

    26. They will say, "Indeed, we were previously among our people fearful [of displeasing Allah]

27. At-Tur 52:27

    فَمَنَّ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيۡنَا وَوَقَىٰنَا عَذَابَ ٱلسَّمُومِ ۝٢٧

    27. So Allah conferred favor upon us and protected us from the punishment of the Scorching Fire

28. At-Tur 52:28

    إِنَّا كُنَّا مِن قَبۡلُ نَدۡعُوهُۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلۡبَرُّ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ۝٢٨

    28. Indeed, we used to supplicate Him before. Indeed, it is He who is the Beneficent, the Merciful

29. At-Tur 52:29

    فَذَكِّرۡ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِنِعۡمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنࣲ وَلَا مَجۡنُونٍ ۝٢٩

    29. So remind [O Muhammad], for you are not, by the favor of your Lord, a soothsayer or a madman

30. At-Tur 52:30

    أَمۡ يَقُولُونَ شَاعِرࣱ نَّتَرَبَّصُ بِهِۦ رَيۡبَ ٱلۡمَنُونِ ۝٣٠

    30. Or do they say [of you], "A poet for whom we await a misfortune of time

31. At-Tur 52:31

    قُلۡ تَرَبَّصُواْ فَإِنِّي مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡمُتَرَبِّصِينَ ۝٣١

    31. Say, "Wait, for indeed I am, with you, among the waiters

32. At-Tur 52:32

    أَمۡ تَأۡمُرُهُمۡ أَحۡلَٰمُهُم بِهَٰذَآۚ أَمۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمࣱ طَاغُونَ ۝٣٢

    32. Or do their minds command them to [say] this, or are they a transgressing people

33. At-Tur 52:33

    أَمۡ يَقُولُونَ تَقَوَّلَهُۥۚ بَل لَّا يُؤۡمِنُونَ ۝٣٣

    33. Or do they say, "He has made it up"? Rather, they do not believe

34. At-Tur 52:34

    فَلۡيَأۡتُواْ بِحَدِيثࣲ مِّثۡلِهِۦٓ إِن كَانُواْ صَٰدِقِينَ ۝٣٤

    34. Then let them produce a statement like it, if they should be truthful

35. At-Tur 52:35

    أَمۡ خُلِقُواْ مِنۡ غَيۡرِ شَيۡءٍ أَمۡ هُمُ ٱلۡخَٰلِقُونَ ۝٣٥

    35. Or were they created by nothing, or were they the creators [of themselves]

36. At-Tur 52:36

    أَمۡ خَلَقُواْ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَۚ بَل لَّا يُوقِنُونَ ۝٣٦

    36. Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain

37. At-Tur 52:37

    أَمۡ عِندَهُمۡ خَزَآئِنُ رَبِّكَ أَمۡ هُمُ ٱلۡمُصَۜيۡطِرُونَ ۝٣٧

    37. Or have they the depositories [containing the provision] of your Lord? Or are they the controllers [of them]

38. At-Tur 52:38

    أَمۡ لَهُمۡ سُلَّمࣱ يَسۡتَمِعُونَ فِيهِۖ فَلۡيَأۡتِ مُسۡتَمِعُهُم بِسُلۡطَٰنࣲ مُّبِينٍ ۝٣٨

    38. Or have they a stairway [into the heaven] upon which they listen? Then let their listener produce a clear authority

39. At-Tur 52:39

    أَمۡ لَهُ ٱلۡبَنَٰتُ وَلَكُمُ ٱلۡبَنُونَ ۝٣٩

    39. Or has He daughters while you have sons

    52:39 Tafsir Copy Share

40. At-Tur 52:40

    أَمۡ تَسۡـَٔلُهُمۡ أَجۡرࣰ ا فَهُم مِّن مَّغۡرَمࣲ مُّثۡقَلُونَ ۝٤٠

    40. Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down

41. At-Tur 52:41

    أَمۡ عِندَهُمُ ٱلۡغَيۡبُ فَهُمۡ يَكۡتُبُونَ ۝٤١

    41. Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down

42. At-Tur 52:42

    أَمۡ يُرِيدُونَ كَيۡدࣰ اۖ فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ هُمُ ٱلۡمَكِيدُونَ ۝٤٢

    42. Or do they intend a plan? But those who disbelieve - they are the object of a plan

43. At-Tur 52:43

    أَمۡ لَهُمۡ إِلَٰهٌ غَيۡرُ ٱللَّهِۚ سُبۡحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشۡرِكُونَ ۝٤٣

    43. Or have they a deity other than Allah? Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him

44. At-Tur 52:44

    وَإِن يَرَوۡاْ كِسۡفࣰ ا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ سَاقِطࣰ ا يَقُولُواْ سَحَابࣱ مَّرۡكُومࣱ‏ ۝٤٤

    44. And if they were to see a fragment from the sky falling, they would say, "[It is merely] clouds heaped up

45. At-Tur 52:45

    فَذَرۡهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ يُلَٰقُواْ يَوۡمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِي فِيهِ يُصۡعَقُونَ ۝٤٥

    45. So leave them until they meet their Day in which they will be struck insensible

46. At-Tur 52:46

    يَوۡمَ لَا يُغۡنِي عَنۡهُمۡ كَيۡدُهُمۡ شَيۡـࣰٔ ا وَلَا هُمۡ يُنصَرُونَ ۝٤٦

    46. The Day their plan will not avail them at all, nor will they be helped

47. At-Tur 52:47

    وَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ عَذَابࣰ ا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا يَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٤٧

    47. And indeed, for those who have wronged is a punishment before that, but most of them do not know

48. At-Tur 52:48

    وَٱصۡبِرۡ لِحُكۡمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعۡيُنِنَاۖ وَسَبِّحۡ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ ۝٤٨

    48. And be patient, [O Muhammad], for the decision of your Lord, for indeed, you are in Our eyes. And exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord when you arise

49. At-Tur 52:49

    وَمِنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ فَسَبِّحۡهُ وَإِدۡبَٰرَ ٱلنُّجُومِ ۝٤٩

    49. And in a part of the night exalt Him and after [the setting of] the stars
