سُوْرَةُ المُطَفِّفِيْنَ
Al-Mutaffifin · Defrauding
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
-
Al-Mutaffifin 83:1
وَيۡلࣱ لِّلۡمُطَفِّفِينَ ١
1. Woe to those who give less [than due]
-
Al-Mutaffifin 83:2
ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ٱكۡتَالُواْ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ يَسۡتَوۡفُونَ ٢
2. Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full
-
Al-Mutaffifin 83:3
وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمۡ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمۡ يُخۡسِرُونَ ٣
3. But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss
-
Al-Mutaffifin 83:4
أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبۡعُوثُونَ ٤
4. Do they not think that they will be resurrected
83:4 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:5
لِيَوۡمٍ عَظِيمࣲ ٥
5. For a tremendous Day
83:5 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:6
يَوۡمَ يَقُومُ ٱلنَّاسُ لِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ٦
6. The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds
83:6 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:7
كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلۡفُجَّارِ لَفِي سِجِّينࣲ ٧
7. No! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjeen
83:7 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:8
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا سِجِّينࣱ ٨
8. And what can make you know what is sijjeen
83:8 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:9
كِتَٰبࣱ مَّرۡقُومࣱ ٩
9. It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed
83:9 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:10
وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ ١٠
10. Woe, that Day, to the deniers
83:10 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:11
ٱلَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوۡمِ ٱلدِّينِ ١١
11. Who deny the Day of Recompense
83:11 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:12
وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعۡتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ ١٢
12. And none deny it except every sinful transgressor
83:12 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:13
إِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَيۡهِ ءَايَٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ ١٣
13. When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples
83:13 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:14
كَلَّاۖ بَلۡۜ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُواْ يَكۡسِبُونَ ١٤
14. No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning
83:14 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:15
كَلَّآ إِنَّهُمۡ عَن رَّبِّهِمۡ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لَّمَحۡجُوبُونَ ١٥
15. No! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned
83:15 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:16
ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمۡ لَصَالُواْ ٱلۡجَحِيمِ ١٦
16. Then indeed, they will [enter and] burn in Hellfire
83:16 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:17
ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ ١٧
17. Then it will be said [to them], "This is what you used to deny
83:17 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:18
كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارِ لَفِي عِلِّيِّينَ ١٨
18. No! Indeed, the record of the righteous is in 'illiyyun
83:18 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:19
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ ١٩
19. And what can make you know what is 'illiyyun
83:19 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:20
كِتَٰبࣱ مَّرۡقُومࣱ ٢٠
20. It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed
83:20 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:21
يَشۡهَدُهُ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَ ٢١
21. Which is witnessed by those brought near [to Allah]
83:21 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:22
إِنَّ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ ٢٢
22. Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure
83:22 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:23
عَلَى ٱلۡأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ ٢٣
23. On adorned couches, observing
83:23 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:24
تَعۡرِفُ فِي وُجُوهِهِمۡ نَضۡرَةَ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ٢٤
24. You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure
83:24 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:25
يُسۡقَوۡنَ مِن رَّحِيقࣲ مَّخۡتُومٍ ٢٥
25. They will be given to drink [pure] wine [which was] sealed
83:25 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:26
خِتَٰمُهُۥ مِسۡكࣱۚ وَفِي ذَٰلِكَ فَلۡيَتَنَافَسِ ٱلۡمُتَنَٰفِسُونَ ٢٦
26. The last of it is musk. So for this let the competitors compete
83:26 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:27
وَمِزَاجُهُۥ مِن تَسۡنِيمٍ ٢٧
27. And its mixture is of Tasneem
83:27 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:28
عَيۡنࣰ ا يَشۡرَبُ بِهَا ٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَ ٢٨
28. A spring from which those near [to Allah] drink
83:28 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:29
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجۡرَمُواْ كَانُواْ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ يَضۡحَكُونَ ٢٩
29. Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed
83:29 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:30
وَإِذَا مَرُّواْ بِهِمۡ يَتَغَامَزُونَ ٣٠
30. And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances
83:30 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:31
وَإِذَا ٱنقَلَبُوٓاْ إِلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِهِمُ ٱنقَلَبُواْ فَكِهِينَ ٣١
31. And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting
83:31 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:32
وَإِذَا رَأَوۡهُمۡ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَضَآلُّونَ ٣٢
32. And when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost
83:32 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:33
وَمَآ أُرۡسِلُواْ عَلَيۡهِمۡ حَٰفِظِينَ ٣٣
33. But they had not been sent as guardians over them
83:33 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:34
فَٱلۡيَوۡمَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مِنَ ٱلۡكُفَّارِ يَضۡحَكُونَ ٣٤
34. So Today those who believed are laughing at the disbelievers
83:34 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:35
عَلَى ٱلۡأَرَآئِكِ يَنظُرُونَ ٣٥
35. On adorned couches, observing
83:35 -
Al-Mutaffifin 83:36
هَلۡ ثُوِّبَ ٱلۡكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُواْ يَفۡعَلُونَ ٣٦
36. Have the disbelievers [not] been rewarded [this Day] for what they used to do
83:36
