سُوْرَةُ الْبُرُوْجِ

1. Al-Burooj 85:1

   وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلۡبُرُوجِ ۝١

   1. By the sky containing great stars

2. Al-Burooj 85:2

   وَٱلۡيَوۡمِ ٱلۡمَوۡعُودِ ۝٢

   2. And [by] the promised Day

3. Al-Burooj 85:3

   وَشَاهِدࣲ وَمَشۡهُودࣲ‏ ۝٣

   3. And [by] the witness and what is witnessed

4. Al-Burooj 85:4

   قُتِلَ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡأُخۡدُودِ ۝٤

   4. Cursed were the companions of the trench

5. Al-Burooj 85:5

   ٱلنَّارِ ذَاتِ ٱلۡوَقُودِ ۝٥

   5. [Containing] the fire full of fuel

6. Al-Burooj 85:6

   إِذۡ هُمۡ عَلَيۡهَا قُعُودࣱ‏ ۝٦

   6. When they were sitting near it

7. Al-Burooj 85:7

   وَهُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفۡعَلُونَ بِٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ شُهُودࣱ‏ ۝٧

   7. And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses

8. Al-Burooj 85:8

   وَمَا نَقَمُواْ مِنۡهُمۡ إِلَّآ أَن يُؤۡمِنُواْ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلۡحَمِيدِ ۝٨

   8. And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy

9. Al-Burooj 85:9

   ٱلَّذِي لَهُۥ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءࣲ شَهِيدٌ ۝٩

   9. To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness

10. Al-Burooj 85:10

    إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ فَتَنُواْ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمۡ يَتُوبُواْ فَلَهُمۡ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابُ ٱلۡحَرِيقِ ۝١٠

    10. Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire

11. Al-Burooj 85:11

    إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُمۡ جَنَّٰتࣱ تَجۡرِي مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَٰرُۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡكَبِيرُ ۝١١

    11. Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment

12. Al-Burooj 85:12

    إِنَّ بَطۡشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ ۝١٢

    12. Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe

13. Al-Burooj 85:13

    إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ يُبۡدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ ۝١٣

    13. Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats

14. Al-Burooj 85:14

    وَهُوَ ٱلۡغَفُورُ ٱلۡوَدُودُ ۝١٤

    14. And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate

15. Al-Burooj 85:15

    ذُو ٱلۡعَرۡشِ ٱلۡمَجِيدُ ۝١٥

    15. Honorable Owner of the Throne

16. Al-Burooj 85:16

    فَعَّالࣱ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ ۝١٦

    16. Effecter of what He intends

    85:16 Tafsir Copy Share

17. Al-Burooj 85:17

    هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلۡجُنُودِ ۝١٧

    17. Has there reached you the story of the soldiers

18. Al-Burooj 85:18

    فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَثَمُودَ ۝١٨

    18. [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud

    85:18 Tafsir Copy Share

19. Al-Burooj 85:19

    بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فِي تَكۡذِيبࣲ‏ ۝١٩

    19. But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial

20. Al-Burooj 85:20

    وَٱللَّهُ مِن وَرَآئِهِم مُّحِيطُۢ ۝٢٠

    20. While Allah encompasses them from behind

    85:20 Tafsir Copy Share

21. Al-Burooj 85:21

    بَلۡ هُوَ قُرۡءَانࣱ مَّجِيدࣱ‏ ۝٢١

    21. But this is an honored Qur'an

22. Al-Burooj 85:22

    فِي لَوۡحࣲ مَّحۡفُوظِۭ ۝٢٢

    22. [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate
