سُوْرَةُ الْوَاقِعَةِ

1. Al-Waaqia 56:1

   إِذَا وَقَعَتِ ٱلۡوَاقِعَةُ ۝١

   1. When the Occurrence occurs

   لَيۡسَ لِوَقۡعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ ۝٢

   2. There is, at its occurrence, no denial

   خَافِضَةࣱ رَّافِعَةٌ ۝٣

   3. It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]

   إِذَا رُجَّتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ رَجࣰّ ا ۝٤

   4. When the earth is shaken with convulsion

   7. And you become [of] three kinds

   فَأَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡمَيۡمَنَةِ مَآ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡمَيۡمَنَةِ ۝٨

   8. Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right

   وَأَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡمَشۡـَٔمَةِ مَآ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡمَشۡـَٔمَةِ ۝٩

   9. And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left

10. Al-Waaqia 56:10

    وَٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ ٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ ۝١٠

    10. And the forerunners, the forerunners

    أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَ ۝١١

    11. Those are the ones brought near [to Allah]

    فِي جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ۝١٢

    12. In the Gardens of Pleasure

13. Al-Waaqia 56:13

    ثُلَّةࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ ۝١٣

    13. A [large] company of the former peoples

14. Al-Waaqia 56:14

    وَقَلِيلࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ ۝١٤

    14. And a few of the later peoples

15. Al-Waaqia 56:15

    عَلَىٰ سُرُرࣲ مَّوۡضُونَةࣲ‏ ۝١٥

    15. On thrones woven [with ornament]

    مُّتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَيۡهَا مُتَقَٰبِلِينَ ۝١٦

    16. Reclining on them, facing each other

    يَطُوفُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وِلۡدَٰنࣱ مُّخَلَّدُونَ ۝١٧

    17. There will circulate among them young boys made eternal

    بِأَكۡوَابࣲ وَأَبَارِيقَ وَكَأۡسࣲ مِّن مَّعِينࣲ‏ ۝١٨

    18. With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring

19. Al-Waaqia 56:19

    لَّا يُصَدَّعُونَ عَنۡهَا وَلَا يُنزِفُونَ ۝١٩

    19. No headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated

    وَفَٰكِهَةࣲ مِّمَّا يَتَخَيَّرُونَ ۝٢٠

    20. And fruit of what they select

21. Al-Waaqia 56:21

    وَلَحۡمِ طَيۡرࣲ مِّمَّا يَشۡتَهُونَ ۝٢١

    21. And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire

22. Al-Waaqia 56:22

    وَحُورٌ عِينࣱ‏ ۝٢٢

    22. And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes

23. Al-Waaqia 56:23

    كَأَمۡثَٰلِ ٱللُّؤۡلُوِٕ ٱلۡمَكۡنُونِ ۝٢٣

    23. The likenesses of pearls well-protected

24. Al-Waaqia 56:24

    جَزَآءَۢ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٢٤

    24. As reward for what they used to do

25. Al-Waaqia 56:25

    لَا يَسۡمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغۡوࣰ ا وَلَا تَأۡثِيمًا ۝٢٥

    25. They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin

26. Al-Waaqia 56:26

    إِلَّا قِيلࣰ ا سَلَٰمࣰ ا سَلَٰمࣰ ا ۝٢٦

    26. Only a saying: "Peace, peace

    وَأَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡيَمِينِ مَآ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلۡيَمِينِ ۝٢٧

    27. The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right

28. Al-Waaqia 56:28

    فِي سِدۡرࣲ مَّخۡضُودࣲ‏ ۝٢٨

    28. [They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed

29. Al-Waaqia 56:29

    وَطَلۡحࣲ مَّنضُودࣲ‏ ۝٢٩

    29. And [banana] trees layered [with fruit]

30. Al-Waaqia 56:30

    وَظِلࣲّ مَّمۡدُودࣲ‏ ۝٣٠

    30. And shade extended

31. Al-Waaqia 56:31

    وَمَآءࣲ مَّسۡكُوبࣲ‏ ۝٣١

    31. And water poured out

32. Al-Waaqia 56:32

    وَفَٰكِهَةࣲ كَثِيرَةࣲ‏ ۝٣٢

    32. And fruit, abundant [and varied]

33. Al-Waaqia 56:33

    لَّا مَقۡطُوعَةࣲ وَلَا مَمۡنُوعَةࣲ‏ ۝٣٣

    33. Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden

34. Al-Waaqia 56:34

    وَفُرُشࣲ مَّرۡفُوعَةٍ ۝٣٤

    34. And [upon] beds raised high

35. Al-Waaqia 56:35

    إِنَّآ أَنشَأۡنَٰهُنَّ إِنشَآءࣰ‏ ۝٣٥

    35. Indeed, We have produced the women of Paradise in a [new] creation

36. Al-Waaqia 56:36

    فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُنَّ أَبۡكَارًا ۝٣٦

    36. And made them virgins

37. Al-Waaqia 56:37

    عُرُبًا أَتۡرَابࣰ ا ۝٣٧

    37. Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age

38. Al-Waaqia 56:38

    لِّأَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلۡيَمِينِ ۝٣٨

    38. For the companions of the right [who are]

39. Al-Waaqia 56:39

    ثُلَّةࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ ۝٣٩

    39. A company of the former peoples

    وَثُلَّةࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ ۝٤٠

    40. And a company of the later peoples

41. Al-Waaqia 56:41

    وَأَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ مَآ أَصۡحَٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ ۝٤١

    41. And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left

42. Al-Waaqia 56:42

    فِي سَمُومࣲ وَحَمِيمࣲ‏ ۝٤٢

    42. [They will be] in scorching fire and scalding water

43. Al-Waaqia 56:43

    وَظِلࣲّ مِّن يَحۡمُومࣲ‏ ۝٤٣

    43. And a shade of black smoke

44. Al-Waaqia 56:44

    لَّا بَارِدࣲ وَلَا كَرِيمٍ ۝٤٤

    44. Neither cool nor beneficial

45. Al-Waaqia 56:45

    إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ قَبۡلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُتۡرَفِينَ ۝٤٥

    45. Indeed they were, before that, indulging in affluence

46. Al-Waaqia 56:46

    وَكَانُواْ يُصِرُّونَ عَلَى ٱلۡحِنثِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ ۝٤٦

    46. And they used to persist in the great violation

47. Al-Waaqia 56:47

    وَكَانُواْ يَقُولُونَ أَئِذَا مِتۡنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابࣰ ا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبۡعُوثُونَ ۝٤٧

    47. And they used to say, "When we die and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected

48. Al-Waaqia 56:48

    أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا ٱلۡأَوَّلُونَ ۝٤٨

    48. And our forefathers [as well]

49. Al-Waaqia 56:49

    قُلۡ إِنَّ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ وَٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ ۝٤٩

    49. Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, the former and the later peoples

50. Al-Waaqia 56:50

    لَمَجۡمُوعُونَ إِلَىٰ مِيقَٰتِ يَوۡمࣲ مَّعۡلُومࣲ‏ ۝٥٠

    50. Are to be gathered together for the appointment of a known Day

51. Al-Waaqia 56:51

    ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمۡ أَيُّهَا ٱلضَّآلُّونَ ٱلۡمُكَذِّبُونَ ۝٥١

    51. Then indeed you, O those astray [who are] deniers

52. Al-Waaqia 56:52

    لَأٓكِلُونَ مِن شَجَرࣲ مِّن زَقُّومࣲ‏ ۝٥٢

    52. Will be eating from trees of zaqqum

53. Al-Waaqia 56:53

    فَمَالِـُٔونَ مِنۡهَا ٱلۡبُطُونَ ۝٥٣

    53. And filling with it your bellies

54. Al-Waaqia 56:54

    فَشَٰرِبُونَ عَلَيۡهِ مِنَ ٱلۡحَمِيمِ ۝٥٤

    54. And drinking on top of it from scalding water

55. Al-Waaqia 56:55

    فَشَٰرِبُونَ شُرۡبَ ٱلۡهِيمِ ۝٥٥

    55. And will drink as the drinking of thirsty camels

56. Al-Waaqia 56:56

    هَٰذَا نُزُلُهُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلدِّينِ ۝٥٦

    56. That is their accommodation on the Day of Recompense

57. Al-Waaqia 56:57

    نَحۡنُ خَلَقۡنَٰكُمۡ فَلَوۡلَا تُصَدِّقُونَ ۝٥٧

    57. We have created you, so why do you not believe

58. Al-Waaqia 56:58

    أَفَرَءَيۡتُم مَّا تُمۡنُونَ ۝٥٨

    58. Have you seen that which you emit

59. Al-Waaqia 56:59

    ءَأَنتُمۡ تَخۡلُقُونَهُۥٓ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلۡخَٰلِقُونَ ۝٥٩

    59. Is it you who creates it, or are We the Creator

60. Al-Waaqia 56:60

    نَحۡنُ قَدَّرۡنَا بَيۡنَكُمُ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمَسۡبُوقِينَ ۝٦٠

    60. We have decreed death among you, and We are not to be outdone

61. Al-Waaqia 56:61

    عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّبَدِّلَ أَمۡثَٰلَكُمۡ وَنُنشِئَكُمۡ فِي مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٦١

    61. In that We will change your likenesses and produce you in that [form] which you do not know

62. Al-Waaqia 56:62

    وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡتُمُ ٱلنَّشۡأَةَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ فَلَوۡلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ ۝٦٢

    62. And you have already known the first creation, so will you not remember

63. Al-Waaqia 56:63

    أَفَرَءَيۡتُم مَّا تَحۡرُثُونَ ۝٦٣

    63. And have you seen that [seed] which you sow

64. Al-Waaqia 56:64

    ءَأَنتُمۡ تَزۡرَعُونَهُۥٓ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلزَّٰرِعُونَ ۝٦٤

    64. Is it you who makes it grow, or are We the grower

65. Al-Waaqia 56:65

    لَوۡ نَشَآءُ لَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ حُطَٰمࣰ ا فَظَلۡتُمۡ تَفَكَّهُونَ ۝٦٥

    65. If We willed, We could make it [dry] debris, and you would remain in wonder

    إِنَّا لَمُغۡرَمُونَ ۝٦٦

    66. [Saying], "Indeed, we are [now] in debt

67. Al-Waaqia 56:67

    بَلۡ نَحۡنُ مَحۡرُومُونَ ۝٦٧

    67. Rather, we have been deprived

68. Al-Waaqia 56:68

    أَفَرَءَيۡتُمُ ٱلۡمَآءَ ٱلَّذِي تَشۡرَبُونَ ۝٦٨

    68. And have you seen the water that you drink

    69. Is it you who brought it down from the clouds, or is it We who bring it down

    70. If We willed, We could make it bitter, so why are you not grateful

    أَفَرَءَيۡتُمُ ٱلنَّارَ ٱلَّتِي تُورُونَ ۝٧١

    71. And have you seen the fire that you ignite

    ءَأَنتُمۡ أَنشَأۡتُمۡ شَجَرَتَهَآ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلۡمُنشِـُٔونَ ۝٧٢

    72. Is it you who produced its tree, or are We the producer

    نَحۡنُ جَعَلۡنَٰهَا تَذۡكِرَةࣰ وَمَتَٰعࣰ ا لِّلۡمُقۡوِينَ ۝٧٣

    73. We have made it a reminder and provision for the travelers

    فَسَبِّحۡ بِٱسۡمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ ۝٧٤

    74. So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great

    ۞فَلَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِمَوَٰقِعِ ٱلنُّجُومِ ۝٧٥

    75. Then I swear by the setting of the stars

    81. Then is it to this statement that you are indifferent

    وَتَجۡعَلُونَ رِزۡقَكُمۡ أَنَّكُمۡ تُكَذِّبُونَ ۝٨٢

    82. And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]

    فَلَوۡلَآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلۡحُلۡقُومَ ۝٨٣

    83. Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat

    85. And Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see

    86. Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed

    تَرۡجِعُونَهَآ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَٰدِقِينَ ۝٨٧

    87. Bring it back, if you should be truthful

    فَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبِينَ ۝٨٨

    88. And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah

89. Al-Waaqia 56:89

    فَرَوۡحࣱ وَرَيۡحَانࣱ وَجَنَّتُ نَعِيمࣲ‏ ۝٨٩

    89. Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure

90. Al-Waaqia 56:90

    وَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنۡ أَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلۡيَمِينِ ۝٩٠

    90. And if he was of the companions of the right

91. Al-Waaqia 56:91

    فَسَلَٰمࣱ لَّكَ مِنۡ أَصۡحَٰبِ ٱلۡيَمِينِ ۝٩١

    91. Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right

92. Al-Waaqia 56:92

    وَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ ۝٩٢

    92. But if he was of the deniers [who were] astray

93. Al-Waaqia 56:93

    فَنُزُلࣱ مِّنۡ حَمِيمࣲ‏ ۝٩٣

    93. Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water

94. Al-Waaqia 56:94

    وَتَصۡلِيَةُ جَحِيمٍ ۝٩٤

    94. And burning in Hellfire

95. Al-Waaqia 56:95

    إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ حَقُّ ٱلۡيَقِينِ ۝٩٥

    95. Indeed, this is the true certainty

96. Al-Waaqia 56:96

    فَسَبِّحۡ بِٱسۡمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ ۝٩٦

    96. So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great

Translation: Saheeh International
