Is crypto or Bitcoin halal? There is no single answer for "crypto", and scholars are divided. The texts give the criteria: a lawful asset, real mutual consent, no excessive uncertainty (gharar), no gambling (maysir), no interest, and no deception. Some scholars permit holding established cryptocurrencies that meet these; others forbid them; most warn against leveraged trading, interest-bearing lending products and hype-driven speculation.
