سُوْرَةُ النَّبَاِ

1. An-Naba 78:1

   عَمَّ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ ۝١

   1. About what are they asking one another

   عَنِ ٱلنَّبَإِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ ۝٢

   2. About the great news

   ٱلَّذِي هُمۡ فِيهِ مُخۡتَلِفُونَ ۝٣

   3. That over which they are in disagreement

   كَلَّا سَيَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٤

   4. No! They are going to know

   ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٥

   5. Then, no! They are going to know

   أَلَمۡ نَجۡعَلِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ مِهَٰدࣰ ا ۝٦

   6. Have We not made the earth a resting place

7. An-Naba 78:7

   وَٱلۡجِبَالَ أَوۡتَادࣰ ا ۝٧

   وَخَلَقۡنَٰكُمۡ أَزۡوَٰجࣰ ا ۝٨

   8. And We created you in pairs

   9. And made your sleep [a means for] rest

11. An-Naba 78:11

    وَجَعَلۡنَا ٱلنَّهَارَ مَعَاشࣰ ا ۝١١

    11. And made the day for livelihood

12. An-Naba 78:12

    وَبَنَيۡنَا فَوۡقَكُمۡ سَبۡعࣰ ا شِدَادࣰ ا ۝١٢

    12. And constructed above you seven strong [heavens]

    وَجَعَلۡنَا سِرَاجࣰ ا وَهَّاجࣰ ا ۝١٣

    13. And made [therein] a burning lamp

    وَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلۡمُعۡصِرَٰتِ مَآءࣰ ثَجَّاجࣰ ا ۝١٤

    14. And sent down, from the rain clouds, pouring water

    لِّنُخۡرِجَ بِهِۦ حَبࣰّ ا وَنَبَاتࣰ ا ۝١٥

    15. That We may bring forth thereby grain and vegetation

    وَجَنَّٰتٍ أَلۡفَافًا ۝١٦

    16. And gardens of entwined growth

17. An-Naba 78:17

    إِنَّ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ كَانَ مِيقَٰتࣰ ا ۝١٧

    17. Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time

18. An-Naba 78:18

    يَوۡمَ يُنفَخُ فِي ٱلصُّورِ فَتَأۡتُونَ أَفۡوَاجࣰ ا ۝١٨

    18. The Day the Horn is blown and you will come forth in multitudes

19. An-Naba 78:19

    وَفُتِحَتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتۡ أَبۡوَٰبࣰ ا ۝١٩

    19. And the heaven is opened and will become gateways

20. An-Naba 78:20

    وَسُيِّرَتِ ٱلۡجِبَالُ فَكَانَتۡ سَرَابًا ۝٢٠

    20. And the mountains are removed and will be [but] a mirage

21. An-Naba 78:21

    إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتۡ مِرۡصَادࣰ ا ۝٢١

    21. Indeed, Hell has been lying in wait

22. An-Naba 78:22

    لِّلطَّٰغِينَ مَـَٔابࣰ ا ۝٢٢

    22. For the transgressors, a place of return

23. An-Naba 78:23

    لَّٰبِثِينَ فِيهَآ أَحۡقَابࣰ ا ۝٢٣

    23. In which they will remain for ages [unending]

24. An-Naba 78:24

    لَّا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرۡدࣰ ا وَلَا شَرَابًا ۝٢٤

    24. They will not taste therein [any] coolness or drink

25. An-Naba 78:25

    إِلَّا حَمِيمࣰ ا وَغَسَّاقࣰ ا ۝٢٥

    25. Except scalding water and [foul] purulence

26. An-Naba 78:26

    جَزَآءࣰ وِفَاقًا ۝٢٦

    26. An appropriate recompense

27. An-Naba 78:27

    إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ لَا يَرۡجُونَ حِسَابࣰ ا ۝٢٧

    27. Indeed, they were not expecting an account

28. An-Naba 78:28

    وَكَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا كِذَّابࣰ ا ۝٢٨

    28. And denied Our verses with [emphatic] denial

29. An-Naba 78:29

    وَكُلَّ شَيۡءٍ أَحۡصَيۡنَٰهُ كِتَٰبࣰ ا ۝٢٩

    29. But all things We have enumerated in writing

30. An-Naba 78:30

    فَذُوقُواْ فَلَن نَّزِيدَكُمۡ إِلَّا عَذَابًا ۝٣٠

    30. So taste [the penalty], and never will We increase you except in torment

31. An-Naba 78:31

    إِنَّ لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ مَفَازًا ۝٣١

    31. Indeed, for the righteous is attainment

32. An-Naba 78:32

    حَدَآئِقَ وَأَعۡنَٰبࣰ ا ۝٣٢

    32. Gardens and grapevines

33. An-Naba 78:33

    وَكَوَاعِبَ أَتۡرَابࣰ ا ۝٣٣

    33. And full-breasted [companions] of equal age

34. An-Naba 78:34

    وَكَأۡسࣰ ا دِهَاقࣰ ا ۝٣٤

    34. And a full cup

35. An-Naba 78:35

    لَّا يَسۡمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغۡوࣰ ا وَلَا كِذَّٰبࣰ ا ۝٣٥

    35. No ill speech will they hear therein or any falsehood

36. An-Naba 78:36

    جَزَآءࣰ مِّن رَّبِّكَ عَطَآءً حِسَابࣰ ا ۝٣٦

    36. [As] reward from your Lord, [a generous] gift [made due by] account

37. An-Naba 78:37

    رَّبِّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِۖ لَا يَمۡلِكُونَ مِنۡهُ خِطَابࣰ ا ۝٣٧

    37. [From] the Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Most Merciful. They possess not from Him [authority for] speech

38. An-Naba 78:38

    يَوۡمَ يَقُومُ ٱلرُّوحُ وَٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ صَفࣰّ اۖ لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُونَ إِلَّا مَنۡ أَذِنَ لَهُ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابࣰ ا ۝٣٨

    38. The Day that the Spirit and the angels will stand in rows, they will not speak except for one whom the Most Merciful permits, and he will say what is correct

39. An-Naba 78:39

    ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡيَوۡمُ ٱلۡحَقُّۖ فَمَن شَآءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ مَـَٔابًا ۝٣٩

    39. That is the True Day; so he who wills may take to his Lord a [way of] return

40. An-Naba 78:40

    إِنَّآ أَنذَرۡنَٰكُمۡ عَذَابࣰ ا قَرِيبࣰ ا يَوۡمَ يَنظُرُ ٱلۡمَرۡءُ مَا قَدَّمَتۡ يَدَاهُ وَيَقُولُ ٱلۡكَافِرُ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي كُنتُ تُرَٰبَۢا ۝٤٠

    40. Indeed, We have warned you of a near punishment on the Day when a man will observe what his hands have put forth and the disbeliever will say, "Oh, I wish that I were dust
