Is it okay for a Muslim to see a therapist or take medication for mental health? Yes. The Prophet ﷺ told people "make use of medical treatment", because Allah has made a remedy for every disease. Seeing a doctor, therapist or counsellor, or taking prescribed medication, is taking the means Allah created, and it goes hand in hand with dua and trust in Him.
